Sarah Wynen grew up in Ballarat, Victoria Australia and enjoyed music from a young age. After graduating high school Sarah was accepted into Federation University's Arts Academy to complete her Bachelor of Music Theatre. Whilst studying at the Arts Academy Sarah was invited to go to England to assist with the London premiere of Stari Most in 2018. She received an arts grant from the Ballarat Arts Foundation to travel to the UK and spent two weeks learning from mentor and composer of the project, Dr. Richard Chew.

Whilst studying performance, Sarah also discovered her love of writing for theatre. Her first work debuted at the Greenroom Student Theatre Festival in 2018 where she presented Stranger Things the Musical. In 2019 her musical Blue to the Horizon was accepted to showcase as part of the University of Melbourne Music Theatre Association's Sitzprobe development program. Blue to the Horizon has since enjoyed a successful Melbourne season produced by Sevenfold Theatre Company in 2023.

Sarah's favourite moments have been performing at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Galapagos!), competing in the Australian National Busking Championship (The Dangerous Dazzling Nothing Act) and performing children's theatre across the UK on tour (Bad Dad).

In 2022 Sarah graduated from the Victorian Collage of the Arts (VCA, University of Melbourne) with a Master of Theatre (Writing). She was awarded the Portland House Theatre Outreach Program scholarship for excellence. During her studies she developed and presented Crossroads: a road trip musical.

Most recently her musical You're a Catch! Why are you Single? was performed in Alberquerque USA as part of Broadway Bound LIVE season 2, a televised theatre contest for young people.
