Sarah Lake Wynen is a multi-passionate performer, writer and composer (among other things) originally from Ballarat, Australia.
Now residing in the West Midlands, UK she enjoys being involved with projects all around the world. Her passion is music theatre, but her work spans across all types of performance mediums.

Sarah completed a Bachelor of Music Theatre at Federation University Australia in 2018, followed by a Master of Theatre Writing from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2022. Whilst studying at the VCA she was awarded the Portland House Theatre Outreach Program scholarship for excellence and developed Crossroads: a road trip musical. Her other works include Blue to the Horizon, which was produced by Sevenfold Theatre Company in 2023 and won a Greenroom Award for ‘Best New Australian Musical Theatre Writing’. She has garnered international interest with her musical You’re a Catch! Why are you Single? which, following two successful Melbourne seasons, has gone on to be produced in Winchester, UK as well as being selected for production as part of Broadway Bound LIVE Season 2, a televised theatre contest by Katharsis Media in Albuquerque USA.

Sarah also creates musicals, plays and performance works for commission. Her recent projects include The Hazelton Whodunnit, an interactive murder mystery musical for The Star Project, Finding Father Christmas: an Amazon Prime-Time Pantomime also for The Star Project and A Twisted Tale, an interactive balloon performance for Kiddly-Winks Children's Entertainment.

As a performer, Sarah shines as an outstanding vocalist and character actor, having tread the boards across the globe. Her recent roles include Squire Trelawney in Halftail Productions' Treasure Island Pantomime (Artrix Theatre), Pudding the Elf on the Sparkle Tour with Canterbury Travel (Ruka Resort, Finland), Auntie Flip in David Walliams' BAD DAD with Heartbreak Productions (national UK tour) and the Barbershop Sailor in The Comedy of Errors with the Melbourne Shakespeare Company.

When not writing and performing, Sarah works as a children's entertainer through her business (and alter ego) Sprinkles the Magician. She also freelances as a theatre teacher and a script reader.
